Hólmahringur Elliðaárdal

Embark on a breathtaking and brief circuit around the islet in Elliðarárdalur, which is ideal for families. You go up from Elliðaárstöð with a trail leading through to the forestry. Before reaching the Rafveitu home, turn right over a wooden bridge and follow the path to the left to Kermófoss. Descend to the waterfall to experience its magnificent beauty up close. The walk then continues along the path in the islet. In several forest clearings along the way, you can see design installations that have been installed, so it's worth going a little out of your way to see and enjoy them. The path then ends back where the walk began. After the walk, it's really fun to look around the area at Elliðaárstöð, where there has been a lot of construction in recent years and you can find a cafe and a fun playground.
