Strandstígurinn is a walking and cycling path along Hafnarfjörður harbour, with an extremely beautiful view of Faxaflóann and the harbour. Along the path, Bygðasafn Hafnarfjörður has set up a informative photo exhibition that sheds light on the daily work and history of the people who built the town. You will walk back and forth and it's about 4 km in total. Along the way, there are benches where you can sit down and enjoy the stunning view. When you walk past the Norðurbakki, you can see young and old with fishing rods in the air, as it is popular to come there and fish. There are parking lots at each end, so you can start the walk whichever way suits you.
