Visitor Surveys

The Icelandic Tourist Board has for years been conducting departure surveys among foreign tourists at Keflavik International Airport, all year round. Regular data collection  create the basis for monitoring changes and developments in the tourism market, thus forming a foundation for future knowledge about tourists.

The survey provides knowledge about the attitudes and behaviors of tourists. The results reveal e.g. the decision-making process regarding the trip to Iceland, information about travel behavior in Iceland, and experiences and attitudes towards factors that affect tourism services in the country.
