Höldum gestum upplýstum vegna mögulegs verkfalls

Við viljum hvetja ferðaþjónustuaðila, ekki síst starfsfólk gististaða, til að upplýsa gesti sína um boðað verkfall flugvallarstarfsmanna í fyrramálið og mögulega röskun á flugi, ef af verður.

Strike May Affect Flight at Icelandic Airports

Airport workers at Keflavik International Airport and all domestic airports plan a five-hour strike between 4:00 am and 9:00 am tomorrow Wednesday, 23rd of April. The action will result in a 3 to 4 hour delay of outbound flights and also domestic. Hopefully an agreement will be made before that time so the strike will not come to effect.

Travelers are advised to keep themselves informed about changed departure times through the websites of their airlines and the airport. Public areas in the terminal will be open and Icelandair’s passengers can use the self-check-in Kiosks, but Check in desks, luggage drop-off and passenger security check will remain closed until after 9:00 am. Therefore passengers will not be able to access the Duty Free zone and go to the gates before that time.

All flight schedules are expected to be back to normal on Thursday morning.
